Welcome To UConn Jujutsu

(Recognized by the United States Ju-Jitsu Federation (USJJF), the American Traditional Jujutsu Association (ATJA), and the Institute of Traditional Martial Arts)

Hi,

As you may have heard, Allied Health has cancelled the AH1200's, Introduction to Martial Arts credit course program.  This is going to have profound negative impacts on the Karate and Jujutsu clubs. Dr. Fany Hannon, Dean of Students, has offered to be our liaison with other departments in the University to try and get these courses reinstated with some department. Your help, whether you are a student or an alumnus, is critical to us.  We would like you to write a short (one page or less) testimonial addressed to Dr. Hannon about what martial arts at UConn has meant to you and why you think the University should offer martial arts for credit.

Please see the attached for more explanation and a template for your letter.

Please send your submission to Joe Davis (joemele.davis@uconn.edu) by or before Jan 10.

Thank you for your help and let me know if you have any questions.
